In Memory of my brother Phillip

Phillip Christopher Wellman, 26, of Idaho Falls, died Feb. 27, 2010, at his home of natural causes.

Phillip was born March 25, 1983, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to William Joseph Wellman and Wendy Leigh Ellis Wellman (Maxfield). He grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Falls Valley Elementary School, Sandcreek Middle School, and graduated from Hillcrest High School.

He married Dawn's Ray Jones, and they divorced. He married Cherie Guggenheim, and they divorced. Phillip worked as a security guard.

Phillip was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the outdoors. Phillip enjoyed Scouting because it often meant spending time outside. He also loved his country and always wanted to serve in the military. He joined the U.S. Army and specialized in munitions, which was a perfect fit since he loved to shoot guns. He loved collecting knives, watching a good movie and loved little kids. Phillip's favorite times were spent with his family and playing games. He was kind and gentle and had a very tender heart. He will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have him bless their life. Heaven is a better place now that Phillip is home.

Survivors include his parents, William Wellman and Wendy (Blake) Maxfield, both of Idaho Falls; siblings, Gaylene (Paul) Ruby of Boise and Steven (Shannon) Wellman of Pleasant Grove, Utah; and grandparents, Don and Bonnie Ellis and Sharon Wellman, all of Idaho Falls.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bert Wellman; an uncle, Richard Wellman; and an aunt, Shannon Stewart.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 5, at the Idaho Falls LDS 24th Ward, 1155 E. First St., with Bishop Doug Hillman officiating. The family will visit with friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., and from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.woodfuneralhome.com. Military rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
We love and miss you so much Phillip and we all know you are in a better plac. We know when the time comes we will see ya again.
